...The Story Behind David Hunter...
...How did the whole thing begin?...

It's February 2004. A privately owned genetics testing laboratory somewhere remote in the United States is testing it's latest gene replication and bio-preservation techniques on a previously unidentified strain of sub-human, known as 'David'.

The strain is known to be highly dangerous, the only species on this planet with an irritation rating of 5. Mosquito's don't even come close. The strain is also of the very stupid temperament, and has a unique want for destruction and weaponry.
A nearby governmental facility is currently manufacturing new military technology that will revolutionise the way we fight. Their new weapons systems and anti-gravatical technologies make for a vast improvement on previous designs.
At the end of February, two unmodified forms of the 'David' strain escaped into the desert. They were ignored, as it was not believed that they could survive the harsh desert climate for very long without supplies of food or water.
Three days after their disappearance, it was noted that a miniature version of the cloning device had been misplaced by a member of the staff.
On a daring raid, twenty-seven individuals resembling the 'David' strain break into the governmental facility in search of food and water. During their raid, twenty-one of them are killed by armed security guards, however one individual managed to gain access to the armoury, gaining high-tech weapons systems and anti-grav technology.
A few of the survivors returned to the Genetics lab where they had been kept for the duration of their lives. They unleashed the full potential of their new found weaponry and it is doubtful whether any of the scientists survived the attack. The laboratory was totalled save for the vault, and the experiments were set free into the world. The cloning technologies were not confirmed to have been destroyed.
Government officials discover of the insurrection and raise a national alarm. Over thirty-thousand weapons prototypes are missing, as well as designs for a new inter-stellar transport based on the anti-grav technology.
Over three months Later, the United States stands down. There has been no evidence to suggest that any of the arms or equipment survived the destruction of either of the desert installations.
In Autumn 2004, millions of David clones swarm amass into every major city, military facility or political structure in the United States. The country is in complete turmoil, the Armed Forces are unable to stem the tide of seemingly identical assailants, clones pour from every underground orifice to be imagined. The last standing city is New York, and troops that had previously been stationed elsewhere pour into a defensive that will last for a great many years.
The United States is declared part of the new Clone Empire. Only a last vestige of hope remains in the besieged city of New York.
Wave after enormous wave of foot slogging clone infantry regiments swarms over the entire of North and South America. Every nation falls under their blood encrusted flag. Within two weeks the entire continents are completely covered minus NY city.
Wave after wave of clones barrage the shores of East Asia and Western Africa an Europe in a wide variety of sea and air vessels.
Clones flood into all three continents rapidly.
The United Nations forms 13 emergency military divisions known as the United Nations David Hunters (UNDH) These 13 divisions are all controlled by the Company Commander Primero of the 11th company, and are lead into battle by their own respective Primeros.
After three months of bitter warfare, the UNDH halts the advance of the clone forces in December 2004. Shortly after, all space installations fall under heavy attack from small boarding craft and minor ordnance.
It is then surmised that the entire clone army is under the direct command of an entity known only as ‘The Brain’. It is believed that the Brain is the result of a genetic mutation resulting in a one off intelligence with unlimited psychic potential.
The war for the salvation of all humanity has begun.

...The Story Behind Clobber the Clown...
...Misunderstood or just plain crazy?...

It was just after the invasion of Paris that Clobber the Clown emerged. Clobbers’ presence on the battlefield slowed the clone advance almost to an immediate halt, and it is believed that without his intervention most of Europe would have fallen, and the UNDH would not have been able to mobilise its’ defence force fast enough.
However, not long after the Paris invasion, it became clear that Clobbers’ interest lied outside of the defence of mankind. He makes a slow and steady progress north, and it is believed that eventually he will come to Scandinavia, believed to be his place of origin.
It is common belief that Clobber is a ‘Scandihooligan’ and was captured whilst attempting to dismantle the Eiffel Tower during the summer of 1980. He was brought to an asylum not short from the nation’s capital and has remained there ever since, until the clone warfare levelled the city entirely. Clobber is thought to have been the only survivor, even though rumours of some underground resistance movements have perpetuated this long.
Although Clobber has let himself go a bit, and his baggy trousers are no longer very baggy, he retains the same make-up and costume that he has always worn. He’s an incredible shot with handguns due to an extreme proficiency with water pistols, thus he’s an incredible marksman with the Big Bertha Handcannon.
Clobber has been seen on both sides of the war, and the part he will play is as yet unknown in the coming years, decades or maybe centuries of war, but it is assured, that it will be final and decide the fate of mankind for all eternity. Either way, he continues to damage the clone forces, and halt their advance as they do not have the resources to counter him.

Billie J Blastkowitcz is an enigma, and is almost a complete unknown in the David Hunter universe. It is believed that he was cast out from his society sometime in the distant future due to his dangerous procrastinational tendencies. He attempts to locate the machine dubbed ‘the Turdis’ yet it has vanished under the wave of clones that battle for control of the universe, and seek to eradicate the species that created them. One day he will be able to return to his homeland of Andorra, deep in a glorious future that gives hope to the future, where clones no longer dominate the globe and mankind had long ago taken to the stars.
In his search for the machine, Billie J Blastkowitcz has fought his way through the heart of the war, and his seemingly unending jamminess has resulted in his survival thus far. It has been shown that no projectile that may strike him can do him harm, and those that could appear to fractionally misdirect themselves. His ability to enter the most dangerous of war zones and survive for as long as he can has placed him with extremely good favour with the UNDH.
The UNDH’s 11th Company of David Hunters (the DHSSRRBD or David Hunter Special Service Really Really Brave Division) supply BJB with as much ammunition and equipment as they can spare, knowing full well that they can trust in his abilities, and that he shall continue to be an ally until the machine that had brought him to this most troubled of time zone is found once more.

...The Story Behind Helga von Bulow...
...Blastkowitcz's nemesis back from the forties...

Helga von Bulow was encountered by Billie J Blastkowitcz’s travels in Germany 1941. Billie quickly put an end to her plans and her assistance to Nazi control, and she was brought out of Germany at the last minute before its eventual defeat in 1942, after the assassination of Hitler, believed also to have been Billie J Blastkowitcz.
She was cryogenically frozen in 1954 in a laboratory somewhere in Siberia, where she has been kept alive by other remainders and supporters of the Nazi Party for a full 50 years.
She was reanimated with the return of Blastkowitcz, and her deep grudge against him have led to her fighting against the UNDH forces in her attempts to assassinate the unlikely saviour of humanity. Her other motives are as yet unknown, although it is believed that she is not in alliance with the clones at this time.

...The Story Behind Hunter Crash...
...Possibly the greatest of all the era's Heroines...

The UNDH was originally 13 fighting divisions designed to each fight the scourge of mankind. Only one of these divisions, the 7th Relief Force ‘Sigma’ had been allowed to recruit female staff, and none of these ever saw combat despite their intense training, even when their headquarters in Brussels came under heavy siege.
When the 7th’s Center of Operations came under attack, the entire of the 7th’s active fighting forces where thrown directly into the maelstrom, led heroically by their Primero, Segundo and Tercero. Despite being outnumbered well over three-thousand to one, the task force managed to fight back a solid twenty percent, some forty to fifty thousand clones before being overwhelmed by sheer weight of numbers. Not a single man was spared in the slaughter, and streets ran red with the blood of the victims.
Acting under the stress of battle, the female fighting forces elected a new temporary Primero, where the remainder of the company harried the flanks of the enormous army for weeks on end, preventing any further advance by pinning down large groups of enemies with concentrated ordnance and sniper strikes.
The Clone invasion was eventually driven back at a great cost to the city of Brussels, but the majority of the female forces had survived the warfare unscathed. However, some hundred David Hunters were still believed to be trapped behind enemy lines.
It later became clear that these forces had broken off from the rest of the 7th Division, to cut off supply routes to the clone advance and breaking up the assault. Led by Hunter Crash, these soldiers powered through impossible odds to destroy several factories and bridges before finally becoming entirely cut-off from the advance.
However, the UNDH was not prepared to rescue the 106 soldiers caught behind enemy lines, it was believed that further actions could inspire a second rapid assault from the clones that could cost dearly.
Four months later, word came back that a force of highly trained David Hunters was progressing through the enemy ranks to reach the front lines from behind the enemy positions. Aided by six members of the 11th Company, the fourteen surviving members of the strike team broke through enemy lines to rejoin the main fight.
Among those that came back was Hunter Crash, and she was awarded with a position within the 11th Company for her efforts. She still fights with the 11th Company today, but remains the only female member of the Special Service.

...The Story Behind Hunter Gorre...
...His insane blood cravings grow ever stronger...

Originally a member of the 6th Combined Storm Trooper Regiment, Gorre was conscripted at the very forefront of the first war for the Americas. Over a two month period, Gorre was to see the very thickest of fighting on the foremost front lines. However, after the total destruction of the 6th and it's sister division, it had become apparent that the entire continent of North America would be lost.

Fourteen thousand of the surviving soldiers were evacuated from Hudson Bay at the end of the first Canadian campaign, all of which were shipped to Dublin, Ireland. Of these fourteen thousand, only twenty two of the Storm Troopers remained, the bloodshed from the extended mountain campaign far too high to be counted, with casualties estimated at thirty human and one-hundred and fifty clones per ten square feet - hundreds upon thousands of corpses left to litter the burning streets.
Upon arrival in Dublin, it had become apparent that Gorre was no longer deemed fit for service in the armies of Humanity. Gorre was dispatched for immediate recovery in a military asylum somewhere south of Paris. It is unknown for exactly how long Gorre was held within his prison, but even as the Clone forces surged over the ruins of France, he remained a captive witness to the chaos around him.
Over time, Gorre's frustration and anger developed into an unnatural bestial fury, an insatiable need to spill the blood of his opponents and captors. Not long after the loss of all except the easternmost borders of France, it is believed that Gorre affected an escape. Many hundreds of Clone corpses were to be found piled high upon the broken stones of their own creation. Skin flayed bodies of the enemies of mankind burned and rotted in the streets of Paris, inhuman entrails strewn across the charred statues and monuments left behind by the ever-retreating defenders of mankind.
Gorre has not been seen since this fateful day of carnage, although many believe that Gorre did not survive the initial breakout, or succumbed to his own black delusions. However, many also believe that his handy-work was to be seen during the reclamation stages of the Parisian campaign and that he has become affiliated with the unusual civilian Satanist cult the Legion Diabola, fuelling his unusual lust, sating him in the fires of battle and acting as one of humanity's' greatest defences.
